New sports and play area Am Wasser tower planned in Mockau

A new sports and play area called "Am Wasser tower" is planned in Mockau. The Leipzigers have the opportunity to inform themselves about the planning on Wednesday, April 10, 2024 and to contribute their own ideas. The area should be integrative, multifunctional and freely accessible in order to be used as a recreation and sports resort as well as as a meeting point. At the information event, the first designs for the design of the offices for city green and waters, for housing and urban renewal as well as the Office for Economic Development are presented.

The project is developed as part of the federal program "Sustainable inner cities and centers" of the Federal Ministry of Housing, Urban Development and Building (BMWSB) and the Federal Institute for Building, Urban and Spatial Research (BBSR).

The event takes place on the green area next to the Mockau climbing tower at Tauchaer Straße 14.
