From now on, citizens can submit suggestions for the renowned Robert Blum Prize. The prize recognizes outstanding achievements in the sense of democracy and is awarded in a special ceremony in March 2026.

As part of the Leipzig Robert Blum Prize for Democracy, not only an award is awarded, but also a strong sign of tolerance and civic engagement. The city of Leipzig is now calling up until April 30, 2025. Every citizen can become active and nominate personalities from different areas - be it art, science, politics or journalism - that are particularly committed to democratic values.

The Robert Blum Prize, which is endowed with 25,000 euros, is to be awarded to personalities that arise in the spirit of Robert Blums and in the sense of the values of the peaceful revolution of 1989 for democracy, freedom of expression and understanding.
