drivers escaped from the police in Leipzig

A driver in Leipzig tried to flee the police on Wednesday evening. However, the escape ended quickly because its demolished car could no longer continue.

As the Leipzig authority announced on Thursday, the 30-year-old driver of a Skoda should be checked by a patrol around 10:30 p.m. Instead of stopping, however, the driver accelerated.

When turning into Breisgaustraße, the driver lost control of the car. He came off the street, ran over a curb and drove over an adjacent green area. Despite the consequences of the accident, the driver continued his escape, regardless of other road users.

Ultimately, however, the driver could no longer continue because his vehicle was no longer ready to drive due to the accident damage.

The officials turned out that the 30-year-old does not have a valid driver's license. In addition, a voluntarily carried out drug -based test showed positive results on amphetamines and cannabis.

The consequences for the Skoda driver are now an indictment for hazardous to road traffic, unauthorized removal from the scene of the accident and driving without a license.
