Leipzig - One event is chasing the next in the trade fair city: While the “Leipzig Markt Music” is slowly approaching its end, the next event is already in the starting blocks with the 23rd Leipzig water festival.

After a waterproof, which was also wet from above, the good news in advance: the stubborn rain clouds are expected to finally move in time before the weekend and make space for sunshine and summer temperatures.

The annual Leipzig waterproof will take place from Friday to Sunday. That means you can enjoy a wet time full of entertainment, sports competitions and fun hands-on activities for three days around the Karl Heine Canal and at the Lindenau harbor.

start with the opening and musical highlights on Friday at 6 p.m. in the Plagwitz district park.

On Saturday it will be really sporty there and at the Lindenau harbor: "Program highlights are the raft construction competition, which everyone in the kayak or Canadian, the rudderachter-Korso, the Schauregatta or the dragon boat cup," the organizers announce.

And the weekend also ends on the water: you can take part in various tours and a channel bike tour.

There is of course also a colorful program for the little ones: on the pirate island you can let off steam on the water playground, tinker with mini-raft or take part in funny advice.
