Dementia diseases in focus

According to the German Alzheimer Society In the early stages of dementia, impairments in short-term memory are often the focus. People with this condition often have difficulty remembering the content of conversations or even finding simple everyday objects. These disorders can lead to confusion and even embarrassing situations.

It is extremely important that those affected at this stage are involved in decisions about their treatment. Although their ability to make judgments and solve problems is limited, their independence in everyday tasks should be maintained. Advice and support can be crucial here.

The Dementia Coordination Center has therefore set out to improve the overall quality of care. This also includes training for companies and a network of service providers who take care of the needs of people with dementia. There are numerous initiatives worth supporting.

Overall, the coordination office is looking forward to many interested citizens who would like to benefit from the offers. These consultations are an important step in finding solutions together with those affected and their relatives and in better meeting the challenges that dementia brings with it.
