On Friday, April 18, 2025, a passenger ferry under German flag caused excitement on the bus low-fairing water between Norderney and Norddeich. During her journey, the ship came to a sandbar with six passengers on board and sat there for about 40 minutes. Happiness in misfortune: with increasing water, the ferry managed to free itself and safely reach the port of Norddeich.
