On Saturday afternoon, April 12, 2025, broke out in Bad Bramstedt, Am Witrehm, a huge fire. At 12:14 p.m., the first emergency calls due to heavy smoke development at the cooperative regional control center West. The Bad Bramstedt volunteer fire brigade was quickly alerted - and the impressive smoke development was already visible during the journey.

Hardly arrived, the firefighters discovered flames on the first floor of a single -family house. In order to mobilize the necessary clout, the head of operations increased the alarm level to "Feu 2" and demanded support from the fire brigades from Hitzhusen and Bimölen. At 1:18 p.m., “fire from” could finally be reported. Around 30 minutes later, the first emergency services started with the withdrawal. The exact amount of damage and the cause of the fire are currently still unclear. In addition to the voluntary fire departments, paramedics and the police were also on duty.
