Safe streets: arrest in large control in Gießen!
In a large -scale control campaign in Gießen, several suspects were caught. On Monday, January 27th, the officers started traffic controls and found some administrative offenses, but no crimes. During a subsequent patrol in the city center, the police arrested numerous suspects. A 17-year-old was caught on Lindenplatz when he tried to steal an e-bike. In addition, four shoplifts were caught, which had just struck in a drugstore.
Another shoplift was made in the Schiffenberg valley at a sports shop. Two accomplices were initially fleeing, but were caught nearby. The three had manipulated theft fuses to prevent an alarm. The police discovered stolen goods worth 640 euros to the perpetrators. A suspect is illegally in Germany and the appropriate investigations are underway. The police are also looking for the owner of a black e-bike of the "Qwic" brand and asks for information.
