Drunk cyclist in Erfurt: Police stops nightly hunt!

On the night of Thursday, a police patrol in Erfurt pulled a drunk cyclist out of circulation. The 34-year-old noticed the officials around 1:30 a.m. in Greifswalder Straße. A breath alcohol test resulted in a frightening result of over 1.8 per thousand - more than enough to end the trip immediately.

The police led the man to the office for a blood sample, and criminal proceedings for drunkenness were initiated against him. In the worst case, the drunk could expect a prison sentence of up to one year or a sensitive fine.
