Gotha experienced two brutal robberies on Sunday night that put the city in turmoil! At 1:40 a.m., three bar visitors on Coburger Platz were attacked by four unknown attackers with pepper spray when leaving the location. One of the men was hit hard while his wallet and cell phone were stolen from him. Fortunately, the victims did not have to be treated medically, but the perpetrators escaped undetected.

Just half an hour later, another incident occurred in a bar on Hünersdorfstrasse. A 35-year-old woman noticed the theft of her backpack and followed the perpetrators with her 40-year-old companion. But here too they were attacked with pepper spray and the 40-year-old suffered minor injuries that had to be treated outpatient.
