Shopping thief fails when fleeing - police make quick prey in Greiz!

In Greiz, a 20-year-old man tried to steal in a shopping market on August-Bebel-Straße at 11:50 a.m. on Monday afternoon. The shop detective put him in the act and confronted him with his theft. At first the thief published his prey, but then he wanted to quickly flee from the market on foot and left his backpack behind.

The escape did not last long. In addition to other stolen objects, the recalled police officers also found personal documents in the backpack, which led to the identification of the perpetrator. The young man was later instructed by the police as a suspect for theft.
