Wood theft in the Jena Forest: Police need their hints!

In the forest area above the "Fuchslöcher" there was a brazen wood theft between 25 and 27 January 2025! On January 26, a tree hanging across the forest path was reported, which was to be removed the following day. But when forest workers arrived, they found it horrified that the tree had already felled and had been removed. Only fresh sawdust remained at the scene.

The police in Jena suspects that removal was carried out with a larger vehicle or possibly a tractor with a trailer. Now the investigators are looking for witnesses! Who saw suspicious people during this period who edited the tree with a chainsaw and loaded the wood on a vehicle? Notes on vehicles that were traveling in this area between the 25th and 27th January are urgently requested.
