Cycling accident in Jena: two injuries after collision on a sidewalk!

Schwanseestraße, 07743 Jena, Deutschland - On Tuesday morning there was a shocking bicycle accident in Jena! Two cyclists, a 37-year-old man and a 74-year-old senior, collided head-on on the sidewalk on Schwanseestrasse. The accident occurred in the curve at the confluence with Florian-Geyer-Straße.

The episodes were dramatic: the young woman suffered a painful leg injury, while the older cyclist had to be taken to the hospital with bruises and a headplace wound - both without a helmet! The emergency services were quickly on hand and took care of the injured. The two bicycles were damaged and the property damage amounts to around 400 euros. Another alarming incident that shows how dangerous cycling without a helmet can be!
