Bicycle thief caught: lured to the police on Facebook!

In the early morning of April 24, 2025, two high -quality bicycles were stolen from a back yard in Mühlhausen on Nonnenbergstrasse. Just a day later, on the evening of April 25th, the injured party was contacted via Facebook, where a stranger offered to bring the bicycles back against finder wages and provide information about the perpetrators.

The injured party then informed the police, who carried out a surveillance mission at the agreed transfer location. At around 11:45 p.m., a 27-year-old man from Mühlhausen appeared at the meeting point, who had the stolen bicycles with him. The police arrested him on site. Now an investigation is underway for suspicion of stealing. It is still unclear whether the arrested person was also involved in the theft. The bicycles were handed over to the injured party.
