Young people saw trees in Bad Salzungen - police are looking for witnesses!

in Bad Salzungen there was a scandalous incident on March 20, 2025, when two unknown young people cut several trees on a property along the Werra with a chainsaw. The attentive neighborhood became aware when a passerby confronted the two. Thereupon the youngsters, who fled with a bike and an e-scooter, took the escape towards "Nappenplatz" and left the chainsaw behind at the scene.

The police have ensured the chainsaw and investigated for property damage and violations of the Nature Conservation Act. Now the investigators are looking for witnesses who can provide information about the teenagers or the owner of the chainsaw.
