Future -safe schools: Passauer Project Fitesd.eu starts!

Passau, Deutschland - The further training project Fitesd.eu At the University of Passau recently took a significant step in teacher training for sustainable development. In mid -April 2025, the certificate was handed over to the first round of the "Teacher Training BNE" (education for sustainable development). 13 teachers from Bavaria and 8 students from the university were able to accept their well -deserved certificates.

The final event took place in an innovative environment, the new Maker Space of the ZLF, which offers a creative and collaborative learning environment. In an interactive Gallery Walk, the results of the kick -off event and the project posters were presented, while the participants used the "Lego Serious Play" method to develop visions for the "School of the Future". Professor Dr. Gabriele Schellberg handed over the certificates to the participants.

integration into education for sustainable development

The Fitesd.eu project is co -financed as part of the European Erasmus+ program (Jean Monnet Teacher Training). The aim is to anchor education for sustainable development in all fields of education. The Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) has coordinated the implementation of the UNESCO programs for BNE in Germany since 2015 and pursues the task of addressing global problems such as ecological and social challenges. In this context, the federal government has undertaken to structurally integrate BNE into the education system.

The national platform BNE, which was set up in 2015 and represents the top steering committee of the BNE process in Germany, plays a central role. The platform is managed by decision -makers from various areas such as politics, business and science. This also includes consulting forums and partner networks that initiate local ESD practice examples.

future steps and perspectives

The next Teacher Training BNE begins on May 5, 2025 in the Maker Space and invites interested teachers and students to participate. Information on this is available on the website of the University of Passau. The integration efforts in education are aimed not only at teachers, but also to young people. The BNE Youth Forum Youpan is actively involved in sustainable education and comprises 30 members between the ages of 16 and 27.

The efforts to education for sustainable development are part of the 17 sustainability goals (SDGS) of the United Nations, whereby high -quality education (goal 4) serves as a basic requirement. The ESD enables people to understand the effects of their actions and act sustainably. There are numerous ways for interested parties to get involved locally, such as in projects and associations that are informed about the ESD portal.

The commitment of the University of Passau and the integration into the structures of sustainable education are part of a greater movement that aims to fundamentally improve the educational perspectives for future generations and to react to the challenges of today.
