Organ trip to Stadthagen: Sulingen club is looking for a passenger!

An exciting chapter in the history of the Sulingen organ building association is imminent! In the midst of creative fundraising initiatives and an upcoming organ trip, the club has big plans. It will be exciting on September 21, when the members go on tour - not to a new organ, but to impressive existing instruments in other churches!

The organ ride begins at 10 a.m. at the community center on Edenstrasse and leads the participants to Stadthagen and Bückeburg. The Sankt Martini Church in Stadthagen, with an organ that has existed since 1559, will be the first goal. Here visitors can expect a fascinating instrument, the prospectus of which has been preserved from the 18th century. Another highlight of this trip will be the mausoleum of Prince Ernst von Holstein-Schaumburg, which brings the history of the region to life.

financing goal within reach

But that's not all! The organ construction association hits waves in fundraising. So far, he has already collected an impressive 880,000 euros and strives for the magical limit of 900,000 euros until the end of the year. Christian Jost, the dynamic chairman, reports: "We have 400 generous donors, including 40 with four -digit amounts and even seven with five -digit. Over 100 people have already sponsored the new organ pipes!"

So far, so good! But why is this mission so crucial? Exactly 100,000 euros are still missing to reach the old offer. The regional church of Hanover has sent positive signals - the order for organ construction could soon be granted. The path to the organ builder's order book is about to leave, and the clock ticks: a construction process usually takes two to three years!

anticipation for the future

The organ construction association is therefore continuing - in the Advent season there are several charity concerts on the plan, freshly orchestrated by district cantor Kai Kupschus. Even “thank you concerts” for the donors should not be missing to thank you for the support. "If we have finally financed the new building, we will market it in full splendor - through concerts and other events," promises Jost hopefully.

The ambitious goals of the association and the passion of the members clearly show that not only an organ is being built here, but a piece of cultural history is redefined. With every euro collected you get closer to your goal - and the echo of your efforts will be heard for a long time!
