anew a cultural heritage
The art and cultural groups from the region offer a platform for local talents and thus promote the community. In August, the 25th anniversary of the Auburg cultural group is celebrated with a special summer concert. Through this event, the cultural group not only shows the diversity of music, but also the importance of cultural events for the community.
star contingent in the Auburg
On Friday, August 16, Chris Hopkins will perform together with the band Young Lions in the Auburg. This band, which consists of emerging jazz musicians aged 23 to 33, promises a concert full of swing classics from Frank Sinatra to Louis Armstrong. Marita Kleemeyer, the chairwoman of the culture group, is enthusiastic: "This is a very special band that will hit the taste of the cultural friends." Admission to this special event is 20 euros.
versatile cultural offer for everyone
In addition to the summer concert, the culture circle is planning a variety of other events that aim at different interests of cultural friends. This includes Klezmermusik on Sunday, September 29th, with the Trio Sol Sayn, which presents the roots of this music in Jewish wedding and festival traditions. Klezmer means "musician" in Yiddish and has been shaped by influences of different music styles over the centuries.
A look at the art
Another highlight is the day of the open monument on September 8th. This special day is celebrated with the opening of a new art exhibition "Spiegel of Time - Art between Past and the Present", which shows the works of the painter Liselotte Bombitzki. This event offers the community the opportunity to deal with art and get to know various perspectives.
promote cultural education
In the course of the year, the cultural group succeeds in creating various cultural educational areas. On Sunday, October 13th, a cultural breakfast will be offered in which the local writer Marlies Kalbhenn will read from her work "Rosentrost". These events are not only entertainment, but also promote understanding and appreciation for art and literature in the region.ticket information and contact
