A violent storm in Lower Saxony caused considerable damage last Sunday, October 13th. In Vechta, the roof of the district house was damaged by a tornado. The fire brigade and technical relief organization secured the building and removed debris. Fortunately, there were no injuries, but the effects on the Vechta district's citizens' contacts still have to be clarified, such as Diepholz, a 15 -meter garage was torn from its anchoring through the storm winds and thrown against a nearby building. Here, too, only low damage to property occurred, and luckily there were no injuries. According to the German Weather Service (DWD), the storm, accompanied by local thunderstorms, should remain noticeable until the evening.
