Tragic traffic accident in Marl: 14-year-old dies, sister seriously injured

In a tragic traffic accident on Lemförder Straße in Marl, Diepholz district, a 14-year-old girl has lost his life. The devastating incident occurred on Wednesday afternoon at 4:20 p.m., when the light valley in which the sisters were sitting, got on the opposite lane for an unknown cause and collided with the vehicle of a 59-year-old. While the 16-year-old driver was seriously injured, her younger sister immediately succumbed to her injuries at the scene of the accident.

The fire brigade had to free both women from the demolished car, but all help came too late for the 14-year-old. The seriously injured aunt was flown to the hospital with a rescue helicopter. The 59-year-old, who was involved, suffered minor injuries and received medical help at the scene of the accident.
