William and his school assistant: strong together in Bassum!

In the Bassum primary school on Mittelstraße, school assistant Sandra Reimers-Klitten ensures security and structure in the life of ten-year-old William, who suffers from emotional-social disorders and learning difficulties. The 56-year-old, who had previously worked in a hardware store for 31 years, has been supporting William and other students with handicaps for 31 years. The worker Samaritan Federation (ASB) has already provided twelve school attitudes in this short time to help children with special needs.

The school assistance is financed by the Diepholz district after the need has been checked by a funding report. Kristine Hey, William's teacher, praises the collaboration with Sandra, who gives the boy's support and structure. Despite his challenges, William is well integrated into the class and actively participates in class. The positive development of the child shows how important such support offers are. The ASB still has capacity for other students in the district and offers help for parents who have questions about the application procedure. Further information is available on the ASB website .
