Werner Thießen remains chairman of the Heider motorcycle club!

On February 26, 2025, the re-election of Werner Thießen was announced at the general meeting of the Heider Motorcycle Club (HMC) in the MTV Sportheim in Heide. Thießen, who has held the office for 34 years, was unanimously confirmed in his position for another two years. At the meeting, several board members were also confirmed in their offices: Ulrich Dröse remains traffic manager, Judith Henkel will continue to act as secretary, and Ute Coltzau will continue to be an assessor in the future. Wilhelm Clasen and Hans Peter Schumacher were elected as auditors.

In his annual report, Thießen gave an overview of the activities of the past club year, with most of the events on the club grounds in Glüsingerbergen. The events included three motorcycle trial events, which were part of the ADAC-Schleswig-Holstein Championship and North Cup rating, as well as five trial courses from the trial school for young people and adults. The presentation of a trial show at the day of sport in Kiel was particularly mentioned. In addition, the HMC was represented with an information stand and driving exercises at the International Speedway race in Brokstedt.

Other activities of the HMC were travel to Eckernförde and Kiel as well as participation in the Hanse Classic Trial with 48 starters in the Trial Park "Höchst Berg" in Pahlen. The season was successfully finished with a club festival that included a kale meal, honors and bingo. The sports director, Ralf Löding, reported on the success of the Trial drivers at the ADAC state championship, including the North Cup victory of Fabio Sacht and its award as a German youth Trial Meister. Currently, 20 adults and 22 young people take part in the trial sport in the HMC.

As part of the general meeting, Susanne Thießen presented the cash report, which the cash auditors had no complaints. The entire board was unanimously released.

The Heider motorcycle club, which was officially registered on April 1, 1950, has developed into an important player in motorsport since its foundation through a community of motorcycle friends who were already working in 1949. With a focus on motorsport, community experience and social commitment, the HMC has produced numerous state and north German champions in the motorcycle trial and train sports, such as hmc-trialsport.de reported.
