Diana Wader surprises as a European champion in Working Equitation!
Diana Wader wrote in the "Working Equitation" European Championship in Oboriste, the Czech Republic, history! With her horse "Toni" (Encantador da Caniceira), the 39-year-old not only won bronze in dressage, but also won the gold medal in the royal discipline, the beef work. After only five years in equestrian sports, Wader can now call herself a European champion. This is particularly noteworthy because she is not a professional rider, but works as a graduate economist in the start-up industry.
The competition was a true adventure for the Monheimer, who had to change her training session after a strict regulations for big tournaments due to her trainer Nicola Danner. Despite these challenges, the team showed a strong performance, and Wader impressively summarizes their experience: "A unique experience to compete against the best from Europe". The German team took fourth place in the overall ranking, just behind the French and Spaniards. At the next major events, such as the 2026 World Cup in Jerez, Wader wants to rely on "Toni" again in order to further expand its success. Further information is to be found here .
