From the caretaker to travel professional: Büyamin Uzun opens travel agency in Dortmund!

The former geriatric nurse Büyamin Uzun started his new adventure in the travel business! At the beginning of September, he opened his own travel agency in Dortmund, Uzun Global Reisen. After nine years of hard work in geriatric care, the 30-year-old searched for change, particularly characterized by the stressful conditions in the care facilities during the Corona period. "The workload was just too high," reports Uzun. His decision to take the step into the tourism took shape when he got together with a friend in the travel agency and learned the basics of the profession.

uzun wanted to create personal contact with his customers, which motivated him to form a physical location. "I wanted a place where the customers could get and meet me," he explains. With a lot of enthusiasm he celebrated the opening of his travel agency, which is now also supposed to serve as a contact point for vacation wishes. Around 40 guests were already present at the opening to celebrate with him. "It is something very nice to send the first customers on vacation - just positive vibes," enthuses Uzun, who is now fully dedicated to the new chapter of his life.
