Year of the restoration: Lütkemüller organ celebrates comeback in Warens church
Warener St. Georgenkirche, 17192 Waren (Müritz), Deutschland - The spectacular restoration of the Lütkemüller organ in the St. Georgenkirche in Waren is accomplished! Thanks to the generous support of parishioners and donors, which brought up a total of 240,000 euros, and another 100,000 euros from the Evangelical North Church, the magnificent instrument from 1856 shines in new splendor. The organ had been repeatedly repaired for decades, but now experienced organ builders from Dresden have worked on Blasebalg, mechanics and pipe work for a whole year.
on October 31, on time for the Reformation Day, the organ will be brought back to life as part of a festive service. But that's just the beginning! From October 31 to November 3, four organ festival days are on the program in the church, which are celebrated with impressive choral singing, silent films and enchanting organ sounds. A festival that nobody should miss!
