Truck crash near Dresden: Corraps destroyed, traffic jam until Wednesday!

On Monday morning, a spectacular accident occurred on the highway towards Dresden: a truck crashed into a guardrail. The 75-year-old driver, who did not take care of the lane change, caused considerable damage. The guardrail was completely destroyed over a length of about 150 meters, and both the diesel tank and the oil pan of the truck cracked. Several vehicles ruined of the accident site, but fortunately the driver was unharmed.

The clean -up work lasts until Wednesday, since the leaked operating materials require extensive earthworks. As a result, there was a temporary full closure and a kilometer -long traffic jam. Drivers should prepare for persistent disabilities, because the road remains impaired until at least Wednesday. The damage is estimated at around 150,000 euros.
