On a shocking night in Erftstadt-Gymnich, a 40-year-old man was arrested who threatened and rioted with a knife. The police moved out late Monday evening after reports on the aggressive man had received. When the officials arrived, the suspect drew a knife and represented an acute threat. Under the indication of how to act quickly, the police officers raised their service and asked the man to drop the knife.

Fortunately, there was no worse incident. The 40-year-old reacted and stuck the knife, whereupon he was arrested without resistance. The man who is without a permanent residence is currently in police custody and is heard by the investigators. He is accused of having threatened the officials and the public prosecutor has already ordered a blood sample. The police successfully brought the situation under control and thus prevented worse things.
