Apple tree theft: 100-year-old giant stole from orchards!

Bad Hönningen, Deutschland - Unknown perpetrators stole a valuable 100 to 120 year old apple tree from a orchard meadow between March 1 and 21, 2025. The impressive tree, which was around 6 meters high and had a trunk diameter of about 35 cm, was probably torn out of the earth with a tractor.

To cover up the crime, the thieves locked the resulting hole with a grass scorch. The Neuwied police are now investigating this unusual theft and looking for clues. Anyone who has seen something is asked to report.
