Bloody knife attack in Gelsenkirchen: 50-year-old injured!

In the early morning hours of April 24, 2025, officials from the Gelsenkirchen police were called for an operation in an apartment in Hassel. There they found a 50-year-old person who had been injured with a knife. Fortunately, there was no danger to life and the victim was immediately taken to the hospital.

First, a 47-year-old person from the apartment was temporarily arrested. After further investigations, however, it was released. The exact circumstances of the incident have not yet been clarified and are currently being examined by the Essen public prosecutor.
