Drama at the Werdohl train station: Machete and pepper spray in dealing!

In the night of Saturday, April 12, 2025, a dispute between two groups escalated in Werdohl, which ended with violence. At around 1 a.m., Lüdenscheider, aged 17 to 39, blocked the passage of a car, occupied by 18- to 22-year-old Altenaers and Werdolhern. After there was a short word battle, the other group followed the first vehicle. The situation was heated again on a fast snack on the B236: a suspect pulled out a machete, while another sprayed with pepper spray and slightly injured one person. The suspects fled, but could later be stopped by the police. An investigation into threats and assault was initiated.

Already on Friday, April 11th, the calls from an attic apartment in Werdohl called on the scene. There the officers met a 24-year-old and a 45-year-old who refused to state his personal details. When his ID fell to the ground and a policeman wanted to pick him up, the man attacked the official. At the subsequent arrest, he injured himself slightly and was taken to the hospital before he was taken into police custody. Criminal proceedings for assault on enforcement officers have been initiated.
