Bicycle robbers in Osterholz: Witnesses wanted for handbag robbery!

In Bremen-Easterholz, a brazen robbery occurred on Thursday afternoon: an unknown perpetrator snatched her handbag from a 57-year-old cyclist. The incident happened around 3:15 p.m. when the woman from the Ehlersdamm street turned into a path towards Hans-Bredow-Straße and drove parallel to the tram rails. Suddenly the man approached with a bike, tore the handbag out of the basket and fell to the ground because the strap was attached to the saddle.

While the cyclist was slightly injured, the perpetrator cut through the strap with a knife and fled towards Langwedeler Strasse. Despite immediate search measures, the man remained undetected. Fortunately, the woman was later able to find her bag through the location of her mobile phone on a garage courtyard on Völkerser Strasse, but cash and bank cards were missing. The police are now looking for witnesses who can provide information about the incident. The victims are asked to report to the criminal service at 0421-362-3888.
