Large control in Frankfurt: Police take drugs and knives safely!

In a comprehensive police check in the station district of Frankfurt am Main, over 100 civil servants achieved impressive results: more than 160 people were checked, 24 criminal proceedings were opened, and three knives were ensured in the course of the measures. In addition, an arrest warrant was carried out and four people who must now be brought before a judge.

The focus of the control was to combat street crime, especially drug trafficking. Numerous drug finds were made on hotspots such as the "Kaisertor" and the sidewalk "At the main train station". While many of the control processes were allowed as part of the permitted, the police found almost 50 grams of cannabis in a man, which led to criminal proceedings. A person was also taken into custody who was despite an existing ban on stay. For further controls in a play library and on the street, the officers secured several weapons and are now filing a complaint about violations of the weapons law.
