Every second crime in the district of Kleve is informed - new statistics 2024!

At a press conference on March 13, 2025, the district police authority Kleve presented the crime statistics for 2024. The figures show an increase in crimes recorded by 3.58 % to a total of 24,039 cases. However, it is positive that every second crime is informed - with a clearance rate of 54.7 %, which is above the national average of 53.5 %.

Compared to North Rhine-Westphalia, where the violent crimes have decreased by 0.4 %, the district of Kleve has an alarming increase of 11.3 % in this area. However, there are also bright spots: the cases with young people violent suspects have decreased and the use of knives, which has decreased from 149 to 143 cases.
