In the Carnival stronghold of Trier, the foolish days are just around the corner! But the police are ready and has announced comprehensive security measures to make the celebrations carefree and happy. Several tens of thousands of Jecken are expected on Weiberdonnerstag and Rosenmontag - and the officials will be present in both uniforms and civilians to recognize possible dangers at an early stage and to ensure youth protection.

Especially on Rose Monday, safety along the moving route, especially on the main market, is increased by additional protective measures. A strict ban on glass between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. and a driving ban for knives were also set.
