Kiel police checked: 16 knives secured at the main train station!

In a stringent security environment at Kiel Central Station, the authorities recently struck again! Officials of the 2nd police station, supported by the federal police and the municipal regulatory service, carried out intensive controls. The goal was violations of the weapons law - and that with impressive record: a total of 16 knives, including two one -handed knives, were ensured!

The controls took place on several days last week and led to administrative offenses and criminal proceedings against those affected. All controlled people could be released after completing the measures. In view of the increasing violent offenses in public transport, in particular the threat of weapons, it is no wonder that the police continue to stay vigilant and are planning similar checks. With the new changes in the Weapons Act, which came into force on October 31, 2024, the authorities should be able to proceed even more preventively against dangerous situations.
