Kiel envelope 2023: Fixed joys with certainty and moving!

Dänische Straße, Kiel, Deutschland - The excited city festival Kiel's envelope starts on Thursday and attracts around 100,000 visitors! The festivities bloom along the Danish street, Schuhmachenstraße and Holstenstraße to Holstenplatz. The festival area is open daily from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., the old market even offers entertainment until 8 p.m., while the Holstenplatz closes at 10 p.m. The shops are open from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday.

Two parades create a festive atmosphere, accompanied by the police: the first takes place on Thursday between 4:30 p.m. and 5 p.m., the second on Sunday between 5 p.m. and 6 p.m. Small fireworks will also enrich the festival. In order to ensure security, the police will be present every day and carry out any occasional controls. On the occasion of the new, tightened weapons and knife ban, which comes into force on October 31, 2024, the safety precautions are particularly high. Visitors are asked to inform the police immediately for suspicious observations. The festival promises exciting experiences for all participants!
