Control days on motorways: Police draws positive balance in Koblenz

On March 26 and 27, 2025, the “mobile control days” took place in the area of ​​the federal highways of the Koblenz traffic directorate. In cooperation with police forces from other federal states and abroad, the focus was on increasing traffic safety and fighting crimes. In particular, the motorways 3, 61 and 48 are important main traffic routes that are often used for international human trafficking and theft of motor vehicles.

During the two control days, a total of 36 criminal complaints were created, including violations of the compulsory insurance law and driver without a valid driving license. In addition, several cases of license plate abuse and violations of the weapons law were found. For technical exams, 14 drivers were prohibited from continuing because their trucks were overloaded or in poor condition. As part of the controls, five license plates, a stolen driver's license, a jumping knife and two e-scooters were also secured. The operations management announced that the measures were successful and the cooperation between the participants worked excellently.
