Messer man at Luisenplatz: Police are looking for witnesses!

on Saturday evening, May 17th, at around 8:30 p.m., an armed man at Luisenplatz caused excitement. Customs officials who carried out controls on site were made aware of the suspect, the passers -by with a knife and possibly threatened. Immediate search measures led to the arrest of the man at the passage to Schleiermacherstraße.

Despite violent resistance, the 180 cm tall, slim man with brown short hair and an Eastern European appearance could be overwhelmed. He suffered minor injuries during the arrest and was brought into custody for explosive. The knife he had with him was secured by the police.
