Knife attacks in Moabit: 28-year-old arrested after series of violence

Stendaler Straße, 10559 Berlin, Deutschland - Last night there was a dangerous incident in Moabit: a 28-year-old man was arrested after threatening several people with a knife. Witnesses report that the aggressive man initially frightened a woman on Putlitzstrasse around 9:20 p.m.

But that was just the beginning! On his way towards Quitzowstrasse, he threatened two other women with the knife before he targeted a group of three on Stephanplatz. There one of the men with pepper spray had to defend themselves against the attacker. The situation continued to escalate when there was a palpable examination of another group of people on Stendaler Straße, in which the 28-year-old head injuries suffered.

The alarmed police arrived shortly after the incident and put the injured man in a determined shooting post. He was arrested, the knife he used. After outpatient treatment, he came to a psychiatric hospital, where he remains inpatient. The criminal police have taken over the investigation and are now looking for other witnesses.
