Menually noticeable with a knife: police in Metzingen quickly on site!

On Monday afternoon, a 31-year-old in Metzingen was taken into custody by the police after being seen with a knife in the area of the town hall. Several callers alerted the police, and luckily witnesses who knew the man were already able to take the knife from him before the first patrol cars arrived.

The man who was obviously mentally noticeable was brought to a specialist clinic. The officials secured the knife and there were no reports on injuries or threats to other people. However, a vehicle parked nearby was damaged, presumably by the 31-year-old, but no details about the amount of damage are yet known.
