Sword in the main train station: Federal Police stops helpless man
Hauptbahnhof Recklinghausen, Recklinghausen, Deutschland - On March 1st, a 33-year-old man caused a sensation in the Recklinghausen main train station when he was sitting on the ground. Federal police officers became aware of him and found that he transported a 30 cm long knife sword, a so -called "tantō", in a plastic bag. Despite the surprising discovery, the man denied prohibited objects.
The federal police made it clear that the man had no permission to lead this blade instrument. In view of the ongoing security measures during the carnival period, this incident underlines the need for strict controls in public transport.
