Security conference in Wuppertal: Focus on knife crime!
On Monday, April 28, 2025, the Bergisches Security Conference took place in the Wuppertal police headquarters, organized by police chief Markus Röhrl. High -ranking representatives from various authorities and institutions were invited to deal with security -related topics. The focus of the discussions was the worrying development of road and violent crime, in particular the use of knives in crime.
The mayors of Remscheid and Solingen, Burkhard Mast-Weisz and Tim Kurzbach, as well as Wuppertal's city director Matthias Nocke and other important actors from the judicial and customs area also took part in the conference. The aim of the event was to strengthen the cooperation between the institutions and to discuss effective solutions against growing crime.
