Security controls in Mannheim: Police grabs drugs and weapons!

Mannheim, Deutschland - On Friday evening, the Mannheim Oststadt police station, in cooperation with special forces of the federal police, carried out extensive controls to monitor the weapons and knife ban in Mannheim. Between 5 p.m. and 11 p.m. on Willy-Brandt-Platz and in the main train station, a total of 25 civil servants were checked.

The results of the controls are alarming: five crimes against the weapons law, four cases of drug possession, as well as violations of immigration law and insurance obligations. In addition, six people had to be held accountable for illegal leadership of weapons or knives. The police ensured almost 50 grams of cannabis, 3.5 grams of cocaine, 1.6 grams of amphetamine and eight LSD trips. These concerted measures should not only increase security in Mannheim, but also strengthen the well -being of citizens and visitors. Further actions of this kind are already being planned!
