In the night of March 31, 2025, at 02:13 a.m., a petrol station on Gökersstrasse in Wilhelmshaven became the scene of an attack. A previously unknown man entered the sales room, threatened the employee with a knife and demanded cash. But the attempt failed: the cash register could not be opened, and the perpetrator fled without prey.

Thanks to intensive investigations by the Wilhelmshaven police, a 45-year-old man from Wilhelmshaven could be identified as a suspect. In his demonstration before the district court, he confessed. Consequence: An arrest warrant was issued and the accused brought to the correctional facility.
