Comprehensive traffic controls in Walle: 15 drug drivers caught!

In a large -scale campaign for safety in road traffic, the Bremen police carried out extensive traffic controls in Walle on April 9th and April 10th. Impressive 411 vehicles were stopped on Bremerhavener Straße and on the Motorbahn feeder Überseestadt and 445 people were checked. The results are alarming: 15 drivers had consumed drugs such as cocaine or cannabis, which resulted in blood samples. In addition, five people with forbidden knives and six drivers without a valid driver's license were striking.

The controls were not only supported by the police, but also by customs officials and employees of the Groatkasse Bremen. The technical relief organization provided tents to remove the required blood samples on site. Violations of the straps and calls while driving were also noted, which only underlines the need for such controls.
