Bachfest Eisenach: Celebrate Bruckner's 200th birthday with music!

Eisenach, Deutschland - The 8th Bachfest in Eisenach is imminent! Under the motto "Bach and Bruckner for the 200th birthday of Anton Bruckner", the festival will be heralded on October 30 with a majestic opening concert by Johann Sebastian Bach. This Highlight is presented by the Thuringian Bach Collegium under the direction of Gernot Süßmuth. The festival promises a variety of events from October 30 to November 3, including Cantata services and a festival service at Wartburg.

Especially the Reformation Day, October 31, becomes an experience for music lovers: The day begins with a service in the Georgenkirche followed by a church tour and ends with a musical costume lecture in the Bachhaus. Another highlight is the final concert on November 3, which Anton Bruckner's big trade fair in F minor performs, with soloists and the Staatskapelle Halle.
