Eisenach saves art treasures: two masterpieces are restored!
Eisenach, Deutschland - Two valuable works of art by the Thuringian Museum in Eisenach go into the restoration! The paintings "Autumn landscape near Bad Berka" by Alexander von Szpinger and "Netzfleickerinnen" by Josef Israëls now receive the necessary care from the restorer Nora Pfeiffer, as the city of Eisenach announced.
The restoration costs for the Szping painting amount to over 2,300 euros, which are borne by the Eisenachs support group. The larger work of art "network flickers", acquired for the Curt-Elschner-Galerie, is restored with a total of almost 16,000 euros, of which the Free State of Thuringia takes over. Dr. Reinhold Brunner, provisional director of the museum, emphasizes the importance of these treasures and thanks the support group for his commitment. Nora Pfeiffer's expertise is also supported by previous restoration projects in the Elschner gallery. More on this www.thueringer-allgemeine.de.
