The city of Emden extends the blocking of Stephanstrasse for car traffic due to unexpected work on the sewage system. The planned termination of the construction site in June had to be postponed due to additional repairs.

The 85 meter long route between Brückstraße and Osterstraße remains closed to car traffic, which leads to detours and delays. However, pedestrians and cyclists can pass the construction site, while drivers have to switch to alternative ways.

The commissioned construction company is currently on the company holidays and will only start the work again after July 26th. Additional work in the area of the rainwater sewage system requires an extension of the construction work, which, however, only affect the already blocked section.

In addition to the work on Stephanstrasse, repairs must also be carried out in Osterstraße/corner on the Brauersgraben to ensure the safety of pedestrians. The sacking in this area is to be remedied in the coming week.
