Emmendingen: New meeting point in front of schools - cooperation between school children and the city
In Emmendingen, a new meeting point was created in front of the Karl Friedrich School, which was shaped by students from the Carl-Friedrich-Meerwein School. This project enabled the fourth graders to contribute their ideas and wishes for the design. The city of Emmendingen took up this initiative, inspired by the success of a water feature in the Landvogtei to implement a similar project in the lower town.
The idea for the construction of the fountain in front of the Karl Friedrich School came about by Maria Steinmetz-Hesselbach, which launched the project. Under the leadership of the committed teachers Ms. Roth and Ms. Möller, the students were actively involved in the planning. In March they proudly presented their results, which also impressed Mayor Stefan Schlatterer.
The fountain, which now the place adorned in front of the school, was largely manufactured and set up by the central depot. Both schoolchildren and teachers are thrilled that their design was realized. This joint effort not only brought together the students, but the entire community of Emmendingen and led to a nice new meeting point in front of the schools.
The positive effects of this cooperation between school children and the city show how important it is to support and implement the ideas and creativity of young people. The newly designed place in front of the Karl Friedrich School serves not only as an aesthetic enrichment, but also as a symbol for the importance of cooperation in the community. The city of Emmendingen and the schools thus set an inspiring example of future projects that are characterized by the participation of the young generation. - nag
