In the night from October 2nd to October 3, 2024, there were two violent attacks in Friesoythe, which the police put on alert. Initially, a 26-year-old man was attacked by two unknown perpetrators in front of a restaurant in the old Mühlenstraße and kicked on the ground. During the treatment by the emergency services, he found that his wallet was missing. The Friesoythe police are now looking for witnesses (Tel. 04491-93390).

Just a few hours later, at 3:14 a.m., a 22-year-old man was brutally attacked by four to five people in another restaurant. In doing so, he suffered injuries when a bottle hit him in the face and he was also kicked on the ground. The attackers were able to flee undetected. While the investigation is ongoing, the population remains called up to report information on the incidents.
